Northeastern Northeastern University's "practice-oriented education" model blends the strengths of a traditional liberal arts and sciences curriculum with an emphasis on professionally-focused practical skills.

That blend of skills and knowledge is then put to the test through cooperative education.

Students in the Department of Music have a wide range of co-op experiences, ranging from placements with major record labels, radio and media outlets, classical music organizations, and music software companies.
